Here we go again, we have two cowboys (politicians) who pissed off into the sunset with their saddlebags stuffed with their massive pensions and payoffs leaving the bewildered Irish taxpayers with a heap of scrap metal .Yes it is those 7000 odd voting machines again, like a bad penny they keep cropping up all the time. Dempsey washing his hands of the whole affair “I’m a private citizen ( only an ordinary citizen????”)

About machholz
I started this Blog to get out of my system the absolute rage that I have for the corrupt politicians and their Banker Buddies. I’m an ordinary guy, married with kids, and have firm opinions of what is right and what is wrong. I’m not afraid to say it even when it makes me unpopular.
I reproduce news all manner of articles, but will always confirm the source of the articles; this is a compliment to the source of such news pieces. But if you do not agree with this and you are the original author, I will take down any article when requested to do so. I do not assume that the author of the news articles share with my views, I include news articles to give readers another slant to my views or to illustrate what the mainstream news media say on the relevant topic.
The opinions expressed are my own but I do not accept liability for them, If I have offended you or made a factual error please put on record the truth by leaving a comment.
In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time...I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind. This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running around my brain, and as such any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today.
For the record I am currently an Independent political activist and am not affiliated to any political party

Most people remember Martin Cullen for the €55 million voting machine debacle. They do not realize this is just a drop in the ocean compared to the €12 BILLION he blew as a Minister on the National Road Improvement Program!!
His initial budget was around €6.7 billion. He ended up spending €i8 BILLION !!!!! How do you go
200% over budget?? It’s very easy with other peoples money. It’s very easy when you have no business or life experience and you’re not really qualified for the job.
Martin is now living in a beautiful mansion, on a golf course in sunny Florida. As you can imagine, he’s very relaxed and worry-free.
We could sure use that €12 Billion now.

Perhaps there’s more to the eVoting Machines that meets the eye. It must be kept in mind that this was a Fianna Fáil who decided to bring in these machines. I think there may be an interesting ‘other aspect’ to this story. Maybe I’m wrong but let the behaviour of FF speak for itself. http://wp.me/p2ijJP-1w “eVoting machines – a failed attempt at skulduggery?”
