The way forward for Ireland

By Thomas Clarke (Editor machholz)

Events in Europe this last week have made the need for a referendum in Ireland nonsensical. We are been asked to vote on a flawed economic policy. A policy where one of its main architects has been booted out of office by his own public and in the next German general election I predict Angela Merkel’s party will face a drubbing and Germany will get a new chancellor.

After four years of austerity in Ireland the finance minster cannot tell an Irish emigrant when she can come home to work! This senseless destruction of most of Europe’s economies is plain crazy! We need the restructuring of these economies and seriously the taking on the cost base and vested interest in favour of the common good, a total re-education of the unemployed into the areas of the economy that can be encouraged to grow.( for example tourism like this , Ireland has a vast Celtic culture that has massive potential to employ everybody that is currently unemployed  in theme parks like this dotted around Ireland ).The billions we have already dumped into the black hole of bank bailouts would have built 20 or more of these theme parks in the last four years .Just imagine  we could have no unemployment today and hundreds of thousands of tourists coming to each of these parks every day.

The needs of the industries that have a future must be addresses, suitable qualified personal must be placed into the various government offices and promotions must be based on knowhow and qualifications and not on time served making the tea!

The qualifications of our gombeen politician is just one of the areas we must tackle, vested interested such as the special advisors brigade must be outlawed ,as the government have  at their disposal legions of civil servants who are been paid lottery salaries to do the same job. This  is just an example of the farcical system we have here in Ireland .The removal of over regulation in arrears like public liability is destroying entrepreneurial spirit .The general public must take on their own share of    responsibility like everywhere else in Europe and common sense must prevail !

Taken reasonable precautions, an entrepreneur must be protected from outlandish calms against him or her. The self employed must be taken into the social security safety net and be entitled to the job seekers payment just like everybody else!

Trade Apprenticeships must be reintroduced along with the proper payment structures guaranteed by law and with the required educational standards from third level institutions as standard are some of the areas we need to tackle ASAP.

The sad fact is no politician is talking about these very necessary changes needed within our economy; No politician is championing the urgent need for a massive financial investment in the restructuring of our economy .We are been told we must accept the Germans know best what’s good enough for us and that is more austerity and vote YES for this new adjustment in our constitution giving them the legal tool to clobber us anytime they deem us to be bold boys and girls!.

Taking the life blood out of our economy is not going to make things better; more austerity is not going to make things better either! A “Marshall plan” for massive investment and restructuring of the economies of Europe and a sever downsizing of the banking system within National and European level is a must .The power of the financial industry to blackmail governments must be tackled and the banks must be cut to a size to suite their purpose. National governments must take control the money supply (Printing), if we are ever going to become free men and woman in our own countries again. The Germans would not vote for this change in their own constitution so why should we?????A great man once said and I quote

Insanity is : doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.(Albert Einstein)

Common sense dictates we vote no in this referendum!

Force the clueless politicians in the Irish government to come up with better alternatives for us. Investment and not blind stupidity (Obedience to Berlin) is the best way for our nation! Vote No .

I started this Blog to get out of my system the absolute rage that I have for the corrupt politicians and their Banker Buddies. I’m an ordinary guy, married with kids, and have firm opinions of what is right and what is wrong. I’m not afraid to say it even when it makes me unpopular. I reproduce news all manner of articles, but will always confirm the source of the articles; this is a compliment to the source of such news pieces. But if you do not agree with this and you are the original author, I will take down any article when requested to do so. I do not assume that the author of the news articles share with my views, I include news articles to give readers another slant to my views or to illustrate what the mainstream news media say on the relevant topic. The opinions expressed are my own but I do not accept liability for them, If I have offended you or made a factual error please put on record the truth by leaving a comment. In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time...I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind. This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running around my brain, and as such any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today. For the record I am currently an Independent political activist and am not affiliated to any political party
