This week was a cold and wet week but today the sun is shining now and the place takes on a totally different feel and it is a good one too.
Well friends, I went off this morning down to my local supermarket to do a spot of grocery shopping and I decided to share today’s shopping list with the blog world. In all 23 items ranging from milk to cheese and bananas, orange (juice 100% pure oranges not concentrate) half a dozen of hams sorts (slices) and 7 Muller Rice, two different bread sorts ,porridge, Butter (Irish of course ,I thought I took the” Kerry Gold” but I obviously grabbed this one)This one says its Irish but has a Belfast address on the back ,Kerry Gold Butter has the same looking wrapper and I thought I was taking Kerry gold ,Perhaps they should take another look at their wrapper as these northern guys are riding on their coat tails! A good german friend of mine says that Kerry Gold has a far better quality and he only buys Kerry gold.
So total cost for today’s purchase was Euro 29.43 cent .Now to all my legions of followers in Ireland take a good look at your grocery bill today and cry!.
On Wednesday I went to visit fellow concerned German citizens involved in the “occupy movement” in Hamburg. It was a wet day and when I arrived at base camp there was nobody at home It seemed I arrived on the day they all went home to have a decent wash and do their laundry I still managed to take a few photos .It looked like the one there is in Dame Street in Dublin.
I also came across a demonstration of workers (very well organized but I am not able to say what they were demonstrating about.
So much for that well I’m off to town and an hour or two sitting out in the sunshine drinking Tea I am bringing my own MUG as the Germans like to give you tea in a glass and the milk is disgusting. So I have resorted in bringing my own MUG and I transfer the tea into my MUG when the waiter goes away .The things you have to do to get a decent cuppa Tea!
