I attended the Easter 1916 commemorations yesterday in Dublin, I watched all the pomp and ceremony and I have to say I was moved, the whole event concentrates the mind and being at the very place where the events played out brings it all home to me, the sacrifice, the unflinching determination and the ultimate price so many paid in the name of Irish Freedom.
I was also struck with many feelings of disgust, betrayal and disdain for some of the attendee’s, our public trustee’s, President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Enda Kenny standing in front of the Irish Army Officer reading the Proclamation aloud as it was read 96 years ago, I tried to imagine what thoughts were transiting the minds of the two people mentioned above, when the words “We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible.” were orated, while Enda Kenny is selling the sovereignty of the Irish people to nameless, faceless bankers.

Comment:
I am so discussed that these politicians had the brass neck to present themselves as champions of Irish democracy .I am surprises the ghosts of the patriots of 1916 didn’t come out of their graves and thick these pretenders of the field .They are mouthpieces of the new order of Europe where the small nations are now nothing more than surfs to the whims of the financial dictatorship running Europe now. These collaborators will face the wrath of the Irish people some day !
